Notice to purchase land near Columbia River by Diamonds

Notice announces intent to apply to the Chief Commissioner of Lands and Works to purchase 160 acres more or less on Nunther Creek near the Columbia River. Describes a tract starting at the Colon Mackay land corner, with bounds 40 chains east, 40 chains north, 49 chains west, and 40 chains south to the starting point. Certainty Mine Progress Near 800 Foot Tunnel Advance

Report from Fifteen Mile Creek notes the Certainty mine tunnel reaching about 100 feet with further progress toward the mountain base. Foreman J Noble praises the winter work and plans a wagon road from the Columbia River next spring with a power drill and ventilation to fully connect tunnels across the mountain. Snow sits about three feet as crews stock supplies for spring operations.

Fire Hall to be moved from Donall to Golden

Mesara J O Greene Jel Henderson and Chief McDermot of the Dive Brigada inspected the Oddfellows Hall at Donall to assess its removal for use as Golden’s fire hall. The Donall Odd Fellows accepted their offer to dismantle and transport the hall to Golden for 300, a plan that will give Golden a fine fire hall.

Deseronto woman credits pink pills for recovery after paralysis

Mrs. Wm. Doxtater of Deseronto recalls a months long illness after childbirth and paralysis, claiming Dr Williams Pink Pills aided her recovery. She reports improved strength after six boxes and urges others to use the medicine, while warning against substitutes. A separate notice asks creditors of Milith Jalta to file claims by November 11, 1890.
