Not Guilty Verdict in Swift Current Murder Trial

Quinlivan Case Highlights Local Justice Issues
The Prospect reports on Mike Quinlivan being arrested for robbery after allegedly taking 65 dollars and a watch from McNamara. Justices Kimpton and Soovil sentenced Quinlivan to six months in jail, with defense by F. Carter. McNamara then faced a separate theft charge dismissed for want of evidence.

Golden Fort Steele Railway Road Planning Stated
Mr Shaughnessy president of the ODR told Fort Steele Board of Trade the company will build a rail line from a chosen point to pass through Fort Steele. The surveyor will select the route next spring and the Crow's Nest line will connect to Golden with funds spent in British Columbia.

Bond Heist Suspect Charged at Guildhall Court
On October 4 at the Guildhall Police Court London W G Oritk was charged with stealing five per cent bonds valued at £8000 from Sigmund Newman and confessed to detective Albert that his true name is Phil Somers and that Christie took the bonds and disposed of them. He was remanded. Crick the youngster and Donald were arrested for stealing Buenos Ayres bonds and Christie pleaded guilty and received three and four years respectively.
