Mrs Chas Nelles travels east to be with her mother Mrs Thos Richardson of Illecillewaet after a London Ont operation described as a complete success. Mrs Nelles and her mother will visit Mr J C Richardson in Ingersoll Ontario. The Oddfellows Hall progresses and may be roofed by week’s end. Holiday gifts stocked by R W Patmore with Xmas selections and a wide range at affordable prices.
Golden sits on the main line of the Canadian Pacific Railway at the Columbia river steamboat junction. It is the mineral and commercial center of Eastern British Columbia, headquarters for gold smelting, Upper Columbia Navigation Co., and the region’s lumber industry. It serves as the outlet for the renowned Columbia and Kootenay Valleys agricultural and grazing lands and is famed for its scenery and mineral districts.

Charling gentlemen F H Bacon J N Taylor F W Aylmer W McNeish and J H Laidlaw issue the gauntlet to their married brothers. The benedicts are expected to accept.
A respectable girl seeks a general servant position and provides the address M. E. Jacques care of Mrs. Jack Banff Alta for correspondence.
The hospital treated 6 indoor and 33 outdoor patients for a total of 74 hospital days in October. Of the indoor patients, three were discharged cured.
Hull Bros. erecting a 50 by 32 commonlions shop and store house opposite the depot under Mr. Gordon Sutherland. Mrs. Lewis has a house east of Mr. Woodley. Joe Lamontagn builds a store next to Pratt and Shiels. C. E. Hamilton lays foundation for a large block beside Hull Bros. Jas. Henderson builds a stable for live stock. C. A. Warren has a commodious driving shed opposite his store.
The Golden Hospital Society lists consultation hours from 9 30 a m to 11 p m and 2 p m to 4 p m with Sunday hours 10 a m to 12 m and 7 p m to 8 p m Visiting hours run 230 p m to 8 p m daily except Monday and Saturday
