Key staff include Pearce, Moore, Wood, Carroll, Lin, Rabin, and Linson. Company supports 200 workers in Golden district and anticipates strong season.

Ranching in the Columbia Valley shipment highlights stud herd

Last week J. L. McKay, manager for the Company's ranch, received a consign­ment of stock. The package included fourteen thoroughbred bulls, mainly shorthorns, two teams of horses including a fluent Clydesdale pair, a two year old stallion, and Plymouth Rock fowls, all aimed at building a first class farm.

Concert in aid of St. Pauls Church Golden

A large audience enjoyed a two hour program at Columbia Hall featuring piano vocal and choral items by Miss Devlin Mrs Robbins Mr Munro and Mr Plowright plus the comedy Six Cups of Chocolate. The performance praised for delicacy of touch and expressive singing concluded with encores and a strong verdict for Golden’s musical talent.

Thanks to Devlins for earnings of St Pauls Church entertainment

The vicar and churchwardens of St Pauls Church Golden thank Mrs Devlin and Miss Devlin and all who assisted at last Monday nights entertainment. The proceeds for the church amounted to 71.50 and were increased to 75 by a generous friend. They praise the fine conduct of the programme and the careful rehearsal behind it.

Competition at H J Starforths store for stamps guess

A school age competition offers every child who spends 10 cents or more a chance to guess the number of stamps in a bus in the window. The correct guesser wins a $1 value stick of taffy. Each guess must use a single cipher zero. The competition runs from Monday morning until the Queen's Birthday 61 o'clock in the evening.

Council reviewed 890 refund from CPR for fire engine freight and thanked the company. The board thanked W C Wells MP for Victoria visit outcomes and urged action on road to boat landing before high water. They noted dyke damage north of Kickinghorse bridge and planned government contact. Endorsed Grand Forks Board of Trade railway competition stance and called a general meeting when warranted.
