Copper ore strikes near QO D Hoar’s Canyon Creek area and a 250-man payroll near Phoenix. No. 2 Certainty tunnel advances toward the ore body. New locations recorded at Golden include multiple claims on Canyon Creek and Fifteen Mile Creek with varied prospects.
E Buchnam of Soklers National Home Grant Co Indiana reports severe facial eczema eased after one application of Dr Agnew's Ointment. The advertisement claims rapid relief from itching and burning with a marvellous cure. We note speculative railway plans to connect Windermere by Great Northern line.
J Gibb, formerly accountant and assistant manager at Imperial Bank of Canada in Vancouver, is named manager of the Golden branch. He and his wife and family depart for Golden tomorrow to reside there. Vancouver residents express regret at their departure and extend best wishes for success in Golden.
A meeting will be held at the Odd Fellows Hall Thursday evening next at seven oclock to organize a Social and Athletic Club. The club will provide a library reading room with current papers and magazines and offer games like checkers and chess.
