Provision for early payment of war gratuity under depen dent mother clause

In strict cattle sales at Winchcombe Carson Ltd last Thursday several lot leaders were noted. Miss Bicirley and Master Bill Andrews from Mt George sold as vealers fetching £13/5. a single heifer brought £13 4 vealers to £9 18. W J Allan from Mt George offered 8 vealers at £12 17 with average £10 16 6. W P Reichert of Gloucester sold 15 heifers for £12 12. A M Andrews from Mt George had 1 vealer at £10 12.

Gloucester Retains McNeil Shield in season finale

Gloucester edged Dungog 30 to 7 to clinch the McNeil Shield as Milne dominated with 13 points including a long range field goal. Dungog wore armbands for late W Redman as Beaton, Yates, Milne and others starred for Gloucester in a hard fought NZ style affair.
