Beef Cattle Shed Plan Advances At Associations Meeting

The A. H. P. Association notes strong attendance and enthusiasm at recent show committee meetings. A beef cattle shed project was approved with donors pledging logs and cash, estimated at about £70 for 23 stalls. Ground committee recommendations include pavilion improvements and doubled hillside seating, with several steward appointments and further showground planning.

Inter Zone Competition Proposed for Gloucester Show

Mr W J Henderson proposes dividing the Gloucester A H and P Association district into four divisions to foster interest and raise the show’s profile. Each riding would run its own competition with prizes and a small annual shield for the winner. Committees from each riding would organize local events and work with community groups to boost participation and entries.

Chamber plans for D Riding candidates named by Gloucester Chamber

The Gloucester and District Chamber of Commerce approved Dr J N Channon and Archer Whitford as possible D Riding candidates for the forthcoming Shire Elections. The group discussed other names including Mr E Carson and Mr N A Vidal, with Whitford favored and a plan to contact him about standing.
