Australian Junior Farmers Return From Abroad Tour
After a five month overseas tour the New South Wales Junior Farmers dairy stock judging team returned to Sydney on September 30. Members were Ken Henry Nowra Jack Martin Albion Park and Alan Turner Kiews Valley. In Britain they placed fifth at the Royal Show dairy stock judging. The team visited England Scotland Wales Denmark Sweden Holland and Jersey. British farming displayed mobile dairying and a strip grazing system with electric fencing plus a two to three year relay rotation for soil fertility. Hospitality was generous and the trip was funded by the Primary Producers Union State Council Junior Farmers Clubs Rural Bank and other bodies.
