No Coupon Free Calico for Soldier Parcel Wrapping
Officials of the Rationing Commission say coupon-free calico up to three-quarters of a yard and 36 inches wide will not be issued now because calico is under coupon rating due to limited supply. Post Office reports unmbleached calico is satisfactory for wrapping parcels, especially food, and parcels with cardboard boxes can be handled. The Red Cross and Comforts Fund do not use calico much for overseas parcels.
