Many men believe savings accounts suit women and children and are not suitable for business men with wide payments. In fact a savings account is useful for all, offering convenient money accumulation and interest profits on funds kept in the bank or post office agencies.
The Gloucester Pastures Protection Board held a Friday meeting with chairman J G Wilson and members A J B Laurie G A Andrews W H Unicomb J B Hammond W T Abbott and G W Titcume present. Absentee director J Easton. discussions covered sleepery cut requests, stock route improvements, flooded gum timber sales, and a small Elands reserve issue with fence repairs and reserve improvements noted.
A local board discusses stock reserves on routes from Bunyahi to Gloucester with about 24 miles without a reserve. The directors doubt land purchase feasibility, propose Association help, and note funds are limited. A plan to appoint a permit officer at Rocks Crossing is advanced with Miss Tabor suggested.
