Gloucester Shire Council agrees on widening Bindera Road cutting

At the last Gloucester Shire Council meeting the Works Committees discussed engaging Dillon Bros to repair the old cutting to Dilon's homestead and consider Mr Ross for the extra width of 14 feet. The engineer proposed a £300 cap, and contracts with Mr Ross were to be drawn up. Residents on Glen Donald Road will self-arrange the river crossing and pipe work near Kevin Westley was recommended. Access to water at Waukivry bridge explored with resumption of three acres on the western bank for a watering place, noting powers lie with the P P Board. Vagrancy charged, rabbit skins market details recorded.

Gloucester Shire Council Updates on Roads and Safety Measures

Gloucester Shire Council reports patrol grader activity on Barrington and Bundook roads, repairs to culverts between Green's and Shire boundary, and new 18 inch culvert on Cobark Road. Gloucester council raises off peak hot water charge

Gloucester Shire Council on Friday approved a small rise to off peak hot water charges from 54 to 63d following department cost increases for electricity coal and labour. The Electrical Engineer Mr F Lowe reported clocks for off peak hot water will be offered for purchase or rental with council favoring purchase. Continuous clocks issues noted if power fails.

Gloucester cattle sale at Winchcombe Careen’s Homebush

A sale of 17 head from Hambrger Bros Gloucester topped at 16 pounds 2 shillings with an average of 14 13 4. Forty one yearlings and vealers sold to 11 pounds 2 shillings, averaging 10 19 1, held at Winchcombe Careen's Homebush section last Monday.

Repair needs highlighted on town streets and signs
