Gloucester Shire Council to send a resolution to the Shires Executive urging improvement of the Pacific Highway between Gloucester and Taree to at least 35 mph standard. A deputation to the Minister for Local Government will be requested, citing danger and accident rates and possible defence use.

At St Pauls Church Eng land Miss Doreen Arrowsmith a long time Sunday School teacher received a crystal silver mounted tray and a Doulton sweet dish as a wedding gift from the parents teachers and children.
