Gloucester Celebrations Highlight Colourful Local Procession
Crowds in Gloucester joined a massive mile long procession described as the town’s biggest and most colourful ever. Organiser Mr. A L Farey received praise for the effort, with dozens of floats from local firms and groups and the Naw Ladies' Mightina Pipe Band from Dulwich Hill drawing crowds. The parade featured historical and modern floats, a Gaelic band, and extensive community participation from scouts, schools, and residents.
