Bullocks and Cranky Jack Rally at Wingham Farm Day
A lively verse narrative by Fitz of Wingham follows Bob Betts driving bullocks from Killabakh toward Wingham and beyond with a whip, mock siege on towns, and farmyard fixes. The piece blends rural bravado with folk humor as characters Brindle, Stinker, Bircher, and Old Smoker appear in comic hardship. A sudden store scene closes with a quip about long-standing customers and credit.
Hygiene in Milking Equipment Contamination Dangers
Milking implements such as leg ropes and stool handles can contaminate milk if not cleaned. Chains are easier to sanitize than ropes, and mIlkers must wash hands after handling ropes and rails. Regular scrubbing of stoppers and push rods, thorough cleansing, and discarding cloths after use prevent decomposed milk odors and inferior cream.
