Journey to Berrico Creek and a Fading Landmark

Sir I had the good fortune to meet Mr Andrew Laurie near Berrico Creek and accompany him. At Berrico I found the old Berrico House once owned by the late Mr John Higgins is gone, a loss to the district landmark. The Berrico school is to be pulled down, a pity given the number of scholars and the setting. The writer notes surrounding scenery, mentions Mrs Page and Mrs Gardner, and references local properties as potential summer spots, with a hint of more young people to come. Signed J Morris.
