Heavy cattle sale at Tom Hicks special sale
Tom Hicks reports a heavy yarding of cattle at the Special Cattle Sale held Wednesday. Dry weather and mad flies kept buyers away, pulling prices 10 to 18 shillings below previous sale. About 400 head were passed in, with averages around £5 11s 3d. Several firms posted varied results across numerous lots and buyers including Arden Hall Pty Ltd and others. Junior calf and pig sale notes follow with lighter demand and cheaper prices overall.
