Watering Cattle in Trucks by Licking Device Proposed
A. H. Throsby of Walgett pitches a cattle truck water system using bolted Fau cets near each beast’s head linked to a water tender. The plumbed “weeping” mouths would supply moisture after each lick, enabling 500 mile journeys with minimal waste, and could see trial runs on a few cattle wagons by year end as Railway Commissioners review the plan.
