Gloucester A H P Show Dates Altered to April 8 and 10
The Gloucester A H and P Association altered the 1948 Central North Coast Shows dates from April 23 and 24 to April 8 and 10 after a Saturday meeting. Motioned by R G Farley, the change aims to avoid ANZAC Day proximity and conflicts with Mocksville and Kempsey shows. Ground committee duties expanded with two new members W Easton and Miss J Rosa. Proposals included extending the dairy cattle pavilion if feasible and adding a gatekeeper shelter at the main gates at a cost of £21. The boxing and wrestling sole rights for the Gloucester Show were debated. after discussion, Johns was granted sole rights for £20 with conditions on noise and venue adjustments.

Demand for cars in New South Wales transport plan
Demand for cars rises as the Roads Department reports monthly availability of about seven new vehicles for permits. Commissioner J J O Rourke told NSW Moor Traders that for four months April to June about 759 cars were available per month, with 11 333 unsatisfied applicants and an average of 274 available per week. Applications were assessed with care to proper warrant and need to meet necessity.
