Resignation Accepted as Transport Chief Goaded by Royal Commission

Mr C J Goode resigned as Chief Transport Commissioner after the Royal Commission found him guilty of misconduct amounting to fraud. W J Cleary to be appointed as chief executive of the railways and T Maddocks to head tramways and road transport. The government plans an amending act to simplify the transport administration and avoid new salaries.
