D H Beach of Midland City Alabama suffered with a thirty year tetter, tried many remedies, found relief after using three boxes of Chamberlains Salve. The product is sold by Wilson Drug Co.
The marriage of Florence Evernham to Seth Yarawayl was a grand Glenwood social event. The couple, both graduates of Glenwood schools, were celebrated with a full ceremony at the Baptist church followed by a reception at the bride’s father’s hotel. Out-of-town guests joined local friends as gifts poured in, and the couple departed for a Colorado honeymoon before settling at the Millard residence. A lace curtain gift lacked sender name, prompting the couple to seek its source.

North West Mills county residents discuss a St Marys township to Bellevue ferry across the Sarpy county line. Bellevue is four miles from South Omaha, aiding stock hauling and other business. W H Lemon of St Deroin, who built a Florence ferry, observed ground and deemed the venture profitable. He would invest stock and arrange funding locally, proposing a power boat due to impractical cable use, with equipment costs not exceeding 2500 dollars.
To allow the pastor and members to attend the Baptist association sessions at Emerson, the regular preaching and worship services at 10:80 and 7:80 are canceled. The Bible school meets as usual at 12 and the young people's meeting occurs at 6:30.

The Iowa Congregational Council gathering in Glenwood marked its fiftieth anniversary with papers on parish problems and home missions, a banquet, and talks by Rev. Henderson and T. O. Douglass. Notable attendees included Rev. A. S. Henderson, Mrs. Briggs, and former pastors. next meeting slated for Oakland amid a quake of court cases and a campaign against quack medicines.
At a Wednesday city council meeting the Glenwood Electric Light and Power company received a twenty year franchise extension beyond the prior expiration in December 1911. The city guarantees street use to support credit, aiding growth and signaling Glenwood as an electrical, progressive town. Nate Wilson was appointed councilman from the First ward to replace J. L. Waterman. The ad line notes Nebe's offers top shoe selections.
At high noon on September 20 1906 John Seitz and Miss Edna Leona Curtis were married at the bride’s parents home three miles west of Glenwood with Rev C M Ward officiating. A lawn dinner for sixty two followed and guests included Mrs Ella B Curtis Miss May Fritz and Walter Fiesel man. The couple will reside on the groom’s Oak Township farm.
