Rev Graves departs after four years at the Glenwood Methodist church to lead Woodbine with a $1400 annual salary. He and his family are warmly regarded and mourned locally as they move to a more promising post. His successor here is Rev Wm Stevenson from Clarinda, once an Atlantic district Presiding Elder, described as capable and with an active wife in church work.

Market Prices At Glenwood Park Then And Now

Market report shows hogs ranging from 7.25 to 8.00 in the local market with a rare extreme. Chickens and fowl priced modestly with hens at 11 cents and young chickens around 14 cents. Butter posted at 75 cents per pound, corn 70 cents, oats 25 cents, eggs 18 cents, wheat 35 cents. Bram commodity selling at 1.50 per cwt with shorts and cracked corn at 1.75.
