Roosevelt Tour Echoes Progressive Call in Kansas

William H. Morgan obituary highlights Mills County sheriff tenure

William H. Morgan of Glenwood born July 1 1868 in Windham Iowa died at home September 8 1910 aged 42 years 2 months and 7 days. A self made man he served as deputy then sheriff of Mills County for eleven years earning fame as a prudent fearless peace officer. Survived by wife Maud L White son Guy Morgan one brother and one sister. A memorial note credits his kindness, integrity, and community leadership with strong local bonds and a lasting good name. Additional lines praise his character, faith, and family, ending with a religious reflection and brief local obituary notices.

District Court Opens in Glenwood on September 20

The Mills County District Court will convene in Glenwood Tuesday September 20 with several new cases including I A Stratton vs Burlington for 10000 in personal damages from a wreck at Plattsmouth last February. Stratton resides in Creston. Genung & Genung will handle his interests. A list of grand jurors for the September 1910 term is provided with names from Glenwood Malvern Pacific Junction Hastings Council Bluffs and Imogene. Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy is praised as an effective cure for bowel complaints and is sold by Howe Glenwood.
