Fire At Pacific City Destroys Beaton Home
A fire Thursday night destroyed the Templeton place in Pacific City owned by Mrs. A L Beaton. The Beaton family hurried to move to Minnesota as neighbors aided in evacuating goods. Most effects were boxed. the kitchen was the origin of the blaze. Insurance covered part of the loss.

The Epworth League of the Weat Tilberty Methodist church held a box social last Friday night. About forty people attended. Sixteen boxes were auctioned by Claude Deupree and Stanton Warren. Total sales reached $25.40. Bidding started slow but grew lively. The event was held at West Liberty school house and described as pleasant for the locality.
