The text warns that throwing manure out of dairy barn windows and letting piles accumulate wastes value. Manure fertilizer is largely water held and dissolved. rain washes piles from barn eaves, reducing value after months. Ten cows yield about 60 tons a year worth over $200. proper stacking or a manure shed would prevent losses.

Entomologists at the Iowa Agricultural Experiment Station urge immediate action to curb cabbage worms. Deter old cabbage stumps harboring dormant worms by destroying all remaining plant parts and garden debris from last season to reduce pests. Cleanup now can prevent future infestations.
In Mills County District Court during the February term 1919 West sues Alvina Field Wilson P Savage and others as defendants. The notice lists parties and that proceedings are under the court term. Details are readable but fragmentary and pertain to civil action in the Iowa county court.
