Community notices from Silver City detail gatherings at homes of Anderson Van Kirk Goos Burgoin and others. Attendees include McMahan Skerritt Goos Burgoin and many local families with birthdays, travels to Omaha Lincoln and River Sioux, Canasta and ice capades plans, hospital and travel updates, and a Delta Zeta Day luncheon in Omaha.
The WSCS will meet Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Har Ty Adams. Charles Shelton returns to Yakima after a week with Mrs. C. C. Clipson and family. Miss Joann Adams of Peru State Teachers College visits her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harry Adams. Dean and Irene attended the Red Capades in Omaha Saturday night. Sunday dinner guests at the Dick Hunt home include Mr. and Mrs. Carley Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Hunt. Harold Williams and Rose Marie joined a birthday party. Ea ttle Gloria Schoening, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Schoening of Council Bluffs, celebrated. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Davenspike were dinner guests Sunday at the Roy Gater home in Shenandoah. Miss Frances Clipson of Omaha spent the weekend with the Clipson family.
Malvern notes list visits by Steele and Primrose to Rochford and Steele cabin, University student Sam Campbell home from Iowa, Dalrymples in Cedar Falls, and Horak opening a body and fender shop in Briggs Chevrolet garage. Gun Club plans a May 7 kids fishing contest near Swan son plant. numerous region travels and hospital news. Deaths include Guy Harold of North Hollywood and a Mills County probate notice for Gail Burgoin.
Sidney Rew born July 4 1865 in Cannonwall England died April 17 1950 at home of his son in law and daughter Russell Myers Silver City Iowa age eighty four immigrated 1884 to America to Malvern lived in Silver City and Tabor area married Bertha L Ferrell Feb 10 1897. He left a wife two daughters Mrs Russell Myers and Mrs John West Griswold, one son Sidney Los Angeles, and two others died in infancy.
