Monday April 14 1913 reports the legislature moves to appoint the state superintendent by the governor and create a board of town and country district presidents to elect county superintendents. Critics warn it will invite political intrigue and cut county salaries by 200 dollars, reflecting reform days.

Inter State Rubber Co. of Pottawattamie County sues Prank Pullman of Mills County for $100 goods. Hester Kates of Colorado sues J. B. and A. H. Winkler for $219.00. RR Landis Malvern sues Fred Tubbs for goods sold. Margaret Lynch sues Mamie Wearin Glenwood for $2000 alleging defamation of character.
