Glenboro Minor Sports Association held a dinner on Monday April 25 with Ringette and Hockey players and parents in the Kinsmen Community Hall. Special guest Tom Watt coach of the Winnipeg Jets spoke and presented commemoratives to players. Numerous teams were announced and awards given, with officers elected for the coming year. Baseball registration followed the meeting.

25th Annual Festival Held in Wawanesa
The twenty fifth Tiger Hills Music and Drama Festival occurred in Wawanesa from April 26 to 29 with adjudicators from Brandon and Winnipeg across piano vocal organ speech arts and dance. Hope Rebekah Lodge sponsored the event with officers including Sherron Murphy and Valgene Dixon. Rose Bowl vocal went to Coral Hayward Treherne Tudor Bowl piano to Brian Clark Somerset Vernon Vigar trophy piano to Crystal Plohman Glenboro.

Gladstone Conservatives Host Dinner Meeting in Glenboro
Gladstone Progressive Conservative Association held a dinner and annual meeting at Kinsmen Community Hall in Glenboro on April 27 with about eighty attendees. M.L.A. Charlotte Oleson thanked guests, urged questionnaire input, and introduced Ted Revel who discussed PC workings and provincial issues amid plans for future elections. New constituency officers were elected and concerns about funds and delegate selection surfaced before a social hour closed the gathering.

Joey Walker displayed eight black and white pen and ink sketches at the C.E. Building in Glenboro on April 30 sponsored by the U.C.W. The works belong to Mrs. Mary Wise of Swan Lake who supports Joey's art and plans to help him earn a living. Tiger Hills School Division Deliberates Staff Cuts Debated
Minutes from the seventh meeting of the Tiger Hills School Division No. 29 in Glenboro on April 26 1983 record tender awards for cleaning and radios and receipts. Delegations from the division association and a Belmont parents group urged reconsideration of staffing reductions. Careerstart funding sought for three summer instrument repair students. The division will order print and non print materials directly from private suppliers with reimbursement via the Manitoba Text Book Bureau. Bus inspections by Kilfoyle and Lanouette will be regarded as performed by the named personnel.
