Coed Broomball Tournament Honors Seal Regional Medals
The Central Region Coed Broomball tournament was held in Cypress River on February 26 and 27 with teams from McDonald Treherne New Haven Manitou Letellier Holland and Cypress River. Letellier won gold Manitou silver and McDonald bronze at the Closing Ceremonies in Cypress Gardens. Clarence Sundell and Louise Christie presented medals while dignitaries including Charlotte Oleson Art Wiebe Marilyn Thomas Bob Mitchell Warren Sigurdson and Rita Hyrich attended. Art Diehl received a 1000 cheque for Community Hall improvements and Reeve Sundell spoke for the Department of Fitness and Recreation.
