Fair Time Comes to Glenboro with Exhibits and Shows
Glenboro hosts a two day fair on Tuesday and Wednesday July 5 and 6 with exhibits in the Exhibition Hall and Kinsmen Community Hall. Entries due at 10 a.m. Tuesday with 17 classes including sewing baking garden produce and school displays. 4 H Pony Club Achievement Day and MGR A Horse Show follow in the arena. Wednesday features a pancake breakfast a pet show display viewing horse show softball cattle judging a barbecue pork supper and prize presentations followed by a Bob Carpenter concert in the Kinsmen Hall sponsored by the Tiger Hills Arts Association.

Centennial Stone Monument Marking St. Alphonse Heritage
On May 8 1983 a group moved a large stone from the Vermeersch farm to St Alphonse where it was placed near the Rectory with a plaque. Monsigneur Antoine Hacault will lead High Mass July 3 at 10 am followed by dinner and a parish picnic. A photo display will be at the school hut as former residents return. Located southeast of Cypress River the site honors 100 years of the parish.
