Tiger Hills school board sets small schools pilot projects

The Tiger Hills School Division No. 29 approves small schools pilots for Glenboro Satellite TV program distribution and Baldur Grassroots terminal with projections, outlines costs, and names signing officers for the Summer Employment Account. The board also confirms driver education rollout for ages 15 to 14 as fall 1983 and accepts health plan voluntary enrollment with Manitoba Blue Cross.

Village Council June Meeting Gravel Tender Accepted

Excerpts from the June 14 1983 Glenboro village council minutes show acceptance of San View Trucking’s $3040 tender for 800 yards of gravel, grant applications to Manitoba Health Services Commission and Minister of Highways, and a Career Start Program hire for John Arason. The 1982 audit by Dunwoody & Company was adopted.

Pony Club Achievement at Glenboro Fair

The Glenboro Agricultural Society opens its annual Fair on July 5 and 6 with a 7 to 10 a.m. vegetable and crafts exhibit, a 10 a.m. Pony Club achievement event, 7 p.m. M G R A Horse Show, pancake breakfast, pet show, girls softball, cattle show, and a pork barbecue with awards and pony rides. Prize lists available from secretary Verna Mowat.
