Royal Jubilee Rebekahs Celebrate 22nd Birthday With Skit

On May 20 the Royal Jubilee Rebekah Lodge marked its 22nd birthday. A social hour followed featuring a comedy skit showing a Rebekah’s life from babyhood to age 40. Funeral services were held at Glenboro Lutheran Church for Wilbert Christie who died suddenly at his home farm south-west of Glenboro on Monday morning June 3 at age 55. He leaves three sisters and four brothers plus many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service Held For Henry Thornborough at Brandon

Funeral services for Henry Thornborough, held Tuesday at St. Pauls United Church in Brandon, brought Kiwanis, Life Underwriters, Real Estate board, and church groups together with many citizens. Rev. J C Cronin led the service praising years of faithful community service and quiet faith. St. Pauls choir sang the Twenty third Psalm. Attendees included women’s association members and real estate and life underwriters, with honorary and active bearers listed. Interment followed at Brandon cemetery.
