The Glenboro Health District Board of Directors met on January 22 1986 announcing committees Finance Property Public Relations Personnel Executive Programs and appointing two Treesbank men as BGTW Shared Services Inc directors. Volunteer Ambulance has 16 volunteers and the December statistics show 25 admissions 1 death 7 operations 11 day average stay and 63 percent occupancy.
Susan Bomak skip led the Glenboro Curling Club to victory in the annual Ladies Bonspiel at Glenboro held January 23 to 26. Twenty nine rinks competed with Bomak earning the main trophy and berth in the 1986 Lady Sahara Bonspiel.
The Glenboro Arena hosted the annual Oldtimer’s hockey tournament with eight teams, including Pilot Mound, Wawanesa, Brandon, Cartwright, Killarney, Dunrea, and Glenboro squads. Pilot Mound defeated Wawanesa 4 2 in the A side final after strong showings by Greg Lee and other scorers. the event ended with a clean, entertaining display and a Sunday split in semi finals.
