Treesbank Hall Opens After Renovation Dedication
The Treesbank community celebrated the February 1 1986 opening of its rebuilt hall. Dignitaries including John Moore Walter Cullen and Alex Clark attended as ribbon was cut and a plaque was unveiled marking government funding support and the Manitoba Jobs Fund. Spruce Woods Sled Dog Races Attract Large Crowds
The 4th Annual Spruce Woods Challenge Sled Dog Races drew 70 mushers from Manitoba and North Dakota over February 1 and 2 at Spruce Woods Provincial Heritage Park. Winners included Terry Bergren and John McDougall in the 3-Dog Pro and Trophy sprints, Clarence Garton in the 6-Dog Race, with Rachel Schindler among young competitors finishing Saturday.
