Celebration Of Christmas Traditions In Sweden
Sweden observes a long Christmas period starting with Advent and including St Lucia on December 13. Traditions feature Lucia processions, gingerbread figures, straw ornaments, a smorgasbord, rice pudding with an almond, and Disney’s Christmas special. Gifts arrive from Jultomten after porridge. The season ends January 13 with the tree taken down.
