The Kiwanis Club of Glenboro disperses assets at a hospital board meeting. C A Hall on behalf of Kiwanis presents 905 to the Glenboro District Hospital and Senior Citizens Home board, chaired by Dr. J P Hurton and led by Administrator Jim.
The Manitoba Masons approved buying three cars to lease to the Manitoba Cancer Society for patient transport in Winnipeg. No charge to patients. donations toward the project reached about $17 000 by November 30. Delivery expected in 6 8 weeks after tenders.
The 1983 year ends with Christmas Concert prep in the school theatre next Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. A new junior high Alpha Omega computer club for grades seven and eight meets twice weekly, led by David Owczar, with five mastery levels and a year end club award. High school students held a mini conference on nuclear arms including a debate on testing cruise missiles in Canada.
The Mel Logan rink from Spuris captured the Cash Bonspiel title at Glenboro December 2 to 4, edging Larry Taylor of Wawanesa in a close final. Six finalists earned Championship spots, with prize money awarded to the top six teams.
