Cooper leads the clinic with endorsement from Mayor E G Connally and County Judge Temple Summers and the chamber of commerce officers. A separate note recalls an accidental heater explosion at Eddie Stroud’s home caused by a gas heater loaded with a .30-06 cartridge, with no injuries reported. Youth Injured In Fall From Rafters In Lynn Mann Home
Ten year old Charles Lee Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Kelly, was injured Saturday night when he fell from attic rafters while playing hide and seek. A splintered window sill fragment pierced his back, requiring surgery to remove the splinter. He was later reported doing fine.

Gann Leaves Camp to Join Hewlett Agency Partnership
Carroll Gann, longtime Glen Lake Methodist Camp superintendent since 1967, resigns to enter business as a partner with J R Hewlett in the Hewlett Agency. Gann becomes partner Oct 1 and will operate as a licensed insurance agent. He and wife move to a new mobile home on Luba LeBouef property along the old Cleburne Highway Rainbow community. Mrs Gann stays at the camp as dietician until Nov 1. an assistant will lead the camp in the interim.

Rabies Clinic Set Here Today In Glen Rose
The Glen Rose Future Farmer Chapter hosts a rabies clinic today from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Agriculture Building on Highway 67. Vaccination costs are 3.00 for dogs cats and other small animals, and 5.00 if distemper hepatitis and leptospirosis are included. Officials urge residents of Glen Rose and Somervell County to vaccinate pets for public safety.

After months of work the Glen Rose Somervell County Library Museum opens in the former courthouse square building near the Somervell County Historical Museum.
