Pee Wee Gridders Schedule Saturday Meeting and Game Report

Glen Rose Bond Vote Sought for New High School Complex

Voters will cast ballots Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the High School Library on a $2.3 million bond issue to build a new high school across from the stadium. The school board says taxes will not rise and the plant will relieve crowding with capacity for 400 students and future expansion.

Judge C C Cooke III Installed In 249th District Court

Judge C C Cooke III, newly appointed by Governor Dolph Briscoe, was sworn in as the 249th District Court judge for Somervell and Johnson Counties. He inherits a backlog after transferring 40 divorce cases from outgoing Johnson County Judge and will begin hearing them Friday.
