Somervell County voters went to the polls in the General Election with 459 ballots cast. Alton Boren of Walnut Springs was charged with aggravated assault after a stabbing near the rodeo arena on November 2. James Livingston was struck in the forehead and stabbed in the groin with a long screwdriver, then treated at Memorial Hospital in Cleburne and released.
