Glen Rose Independent School District trustees met in a called session to discuss the upcoming bond election on Saturday April 2. A public meeting will be held in the high school auditorium at 8 00 pm to hear questions from patrons about a proposed 1 500 000 bond to fund a new high school on land donated by Mr and Mrs Thomas G Rumph on Farm Road 201 just outside town.

Somervell County Receives 10000 Gift For Library Facelift
Senator Vernon Lemens and Mrs Lemens of Austin donated 10000 to Somervell County to remodel the old First National Bank building into a modern library. The luncheon at Feedlot Restaurant honored Judge Cathey and local officials as plans unfold for turning the building over to the Glen Rose Somervell County Library Board. The 21st Annual Somervell County Youth Fair is set for Friday with a full day of judging and a banquet at 5:30 p.m. on the show grounds.

Tax Office Opens Saturdays for License Sticker Purchases
Somervell County Tax Assessor-Collector Frank Laramore announced the courthouse office will open Saturdays March 19 and 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to help working people buy new auto license plate stickers. The deadline to display 1977 stickers on current plates is April 1.
