Invitation Extended to Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth

A busload from Downtown Civitan and Cowtown Civitan Clubs invited Glen Rose residents to the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth. Baby Girl Born at Carswell Air Force Base

The Georges Creek H D Club met January 20 at Mrs. O P Hewletts. Vice president Mrs F E Miller appointed Mrs Alfred Hewlett to preside. Devotional by Mrs Jerry Pinson. Members recited bible verses. total donations 6.32 including 2.50 to March of Dimes. THCA fund and refreshments were served. next meeting set for February 3 at Mrs Hattie Miller's home.

Tarleton State Coach Sanford To Head Glen Rose Banquet

Head Coach H. A. Sandy Sanford who led Tarleton State College to its first conference championship in 26 years will be the principal speaker at the Glen Rose High School banquet Saturday night. Accompanying Sanford is Assistant Coach Johnny Dunn. Tickets cost $2. The Optimist Club and school groups organize the event with band members and pep squad guests invited.
