City Accident Report Highlights 1954 Losses
In 1954 the city logged 18 accidents affecting 24 cars 6 pickups and 2 trucks. Eleven incidents involved moving vehicles while seven had a parked vehicle. Nine occurred in daylight nine at night with Saturday most hazardous. Four accidents occurred in residential districts five at intersections and nine in the business district. In seven cases one or both drivers had been drinking.
