Car license plates received here in Somervell County
County Tax Collector Paul Bone announced 1960 registration plates have arrived and will go on sale February 1. The black plates with white numbers cover Somervell County from DR9125 to DR9999. All semi trailers must be titled before registration, and a 4000 pound empty regular trailer requires a title. Trailers lacking a serial number cannot be registered until issued. Applications available at the tax office.

Milton Porter Simmons 63 died at a local hospital after a home attack. He was a World War I veteran with the 90th Division and member of Glen Rose Church of Christ. Funeral held January 7 with a short military service by the American Legion. burial in Hill Cemetery at Eulogy.
