Showers Bring Needed Moisture to Somervell Area
Two recent showers in the Glen Rose area produced 1.01 inches of rain per weather observer Revert Mack. The first shower Thursday afternoon yielded 0.05 inches, a second storm Sunday morning added 0.96 inches, with Sunday windy and light snow in the late afternoon. Temperature swung from 85 to 28 degrees over the period. Local farmers and ranchers welcomed the moisture.

Tigerettes Reach State Playoffs After Regional Win
Glen Rose High School Tigerettes beat Royce City 54 48 and Carroll 48 42 at the NTSU regional tournament in Denton to secure a berth in the State Tournament in Austin. Candy Marks led scoring with 26 points in the Royce City win and again paced the team in the Carroll victory.
