Glen Rose High School Senior Class members washed and delivered 50 automobiles at Bill Mullen Texaco Service Station to raise funds for the annual senior trip. Landlord Bill Mullen donated $10 in water and supplies. Congressman W R Bob Poage backs the Dinosaur Trail National Monument effort, noting his reintroduced bill and requests for local data and legal position. Mr. and Mrs. Buster Echols spent the weekend at LBJ Lake.

Grand Jury Indicts 3 and issues county recommendations
A spring term grand jury for 18th District Court empaneled last week returned three true bills and issued two recommendations to county officials. Indicted are Robert Earl Payne of Dallas for burglary, Arthur Battenfield of Vernon for theft, and James Stiles for forgery and passing. The jury urged inventories be turned in and that precinct work by Commissioners be approved as a whole by the court.

Moisture totals show .34 inch recorded last week by T. J. Davis, official observer for the U S Weather Bureau. .01 inch fell Friday morning and .33 on Monday morning from a Sunday night shower. Stacy Fined And Probated Jail Sentence In County Court
Stacy Rouse of this city was fined 250 dollars and costs and given a two year probated sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated assault to commit bodily harm in the shooting of Eddie Glass about 10 p.m. August 23. Glass was shot in the left side with a .22 caliber bullet. Stacy said he intended only to scare him from his home. Glass has recovered. The probation orders include abstaining from alcohol, avoiding gambling and certain places, seeking lawful employment, reporting to the Sheriff monthly, and other conditions.
