Stolen 1956 International Pick Up Recovered Near Tolar
A 1956 International pickup stolen from C. J. Davidson’s ranch near Tolar was found Wednesday afternoon by Jack Miller at the Granbury highway and Hopewell Road intersection. Sheriff Paul Bone returned the vehicle to Hood County. it contained five cases of whiskey and cans of anti freeze. Davidson’s ranch lies two miles west of Tolar.

CSO Meeting Highlights Treasurers Report and Talent Show
The CSO met in the auditorium last Monday with Mrs. Tom Voss presiding. Rev. Lee Porter gave the devotional. The high school sophomore class staged a mock telecast featuring famous entertainment stars. The treasurer reported 41.51 spent on a paper cutter and 781.93 for elementary library books. A Talent Show is set for March 22 with advance ticket sales by the committee. Attendance award went to the 10th grade.

Mary Etta Kirk Lain Rest in Glen Rose
Mrs Mary Etta Kirk died in Glen Rose hospital on February 14 at age 87 after a long illness. She was born October 18 1869 in Horn Lake Mississippi and moved to Texas in the 1890s. Survived by four sons two daughters and several grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 3 p m at Glen Rose Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Glen Rose Cemetery.
