Pfc. Bobby G. Willey, 21, son of Mrs. Ruth J. Willey of Hillsboro, took part February 27 in Exercise Free Play with the 4th Armored Division in Schwabach Germany. A jeep driver in Troop D of the division’s 15th Cavalry, he entered the Army in May 1957 and trained at Fort Carson Colorado arriving in Europe December 1957. Before the Army he worked for Convair Aircraft Corp at Fort Worth. A 1955 Glen Rose High School graduate, he attended Sam Houston State Teachers College. his father Bert O. Willey lives in Glen Rose.

Flippin Taken to State Hospital After 1952 Murder Claim
Ivan Jerry Flippin was taken to the state institution for the insane in Austin by Sheriff Paul Bone on Tuesday. He had just been released on parole and was arrested in Cleburne after causing a disturbance at a hotel. He admitted to Cleburne police chief Tom Kirkpatrick that he killed Bun Moss in 1952, a longtime unsolved murder.

Coastal Bermuda sprigs and terraces planned for Bosque District
The Bosque District will have Coastal Bermuda sprigs available from Hood and Brath Counties to seed fields adapted to Common Bermuda. Drought has limited success, but recent plantings nearby show good results. Mrs A A McPherson aged 65 died in a Cleburne hospital on Monday February 16. She leaves a large family including husband Artie and sons Wallace Nemo and A Y Cleburne, eight daughters, two grandchildren and great grandchildren.
