The Church of Christ on Highway north of the school completes a modern 48 by 68 foot building. Minister Paul Beckworth conducts both Sunday services with open house all afternoon. Cedar Fires Burn Across County All Tuesday
Glen Rose and neighboring volunteer firemen battled three cedar fires Tuesday. The largest blaze raged in the west county along the Paluxy near U.S. 67 by the Lewellen place. A second fire hit the Rainbow area and a third near Eulogy. High winds drove the flames, but relentless work halted the spread toward Walnut Springs.
