Rural Civil Defense maps aid Somervell County
Officials of Somervell County and Glen Rose have purchased maps for the Rural Civil Defense program marked to identify locations during emergencies. Maps will be stored in sheriff, judge, county agent, city hall, fire station, ASCS and SCS offices, and the hospital with additional placements as needed. County 4 H and Home Demonstration clubs have discussed civil defense this year. County Agent Doyle Cooper gives cattle feeding guidance for drought conditions stressing minimum roughage and protein, vitamin A, phosphorus, free salt, and careful use of grain with protein supplements. calves should be crept or cattle sold to ease the drought strain.
