The Grand Lodge of Texas directed by John G. Kimmerer Hugh M. Craig and George R. M. Montgomery leveled the cornerstone Saturday as lodge members and visiting area bretheren attended ceremonies. Construction resumes with early completion hoped. J M McCroskey Glen Rose Schools superintendent announced a $1640 library books grant under Title III of the National Defense Education Act with half to be reimbursed by the federal government.

Woman from Glen Rose buried in Cleburne
Mrs. R. L. Phillips 47 of Cleburne died November 24 at Cleburne Memorial Hospital. Born near Georges Creek November 8 1918 she was a Pentecostal Church member. She had lived in Cle burne four years moving from Brazos Point. Funeral services were held at 1 30 p m Saturday in the Dillon Emmert Funeral Home Chapel with Revs W F Mercer and Archie Lyle officiating. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Editor's Father Buried in Cross Plains Cemetery
Dan McCarty aged 76 father of editor Jack McCarty was laid to rest at Cross Plains Cemetery Monday at 2 p.m. Father Kevin Heyburn of Abilene officiated. McCarty died Friday morning November 26 at the Union Printers Home in Colorado Springs after a lengthy illness. A Minnesota native he retired in 1954 after 50 years as a printer. He worked for newspapers across the United States and in parts of Canada, including 1914 16 in Cleburne and later Fort Worth publications until retirement. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three sisters in Ohio Iowa and Minnesota.

Local resident Clark Black buried in Nocona
Funeral rites for Clark T. Black 73 were held at 2 30 pm Sunday at First Methodist Church in Nocona. He was born in Montague County and retired living at 302 Grace Street in Glen Rose. He was found dead in bed by his wife Friday morning. Survivors include his wife a foster daughter Mary Patton of Dallas a brother R P Black of Nocona and many nieces and nephews. Burial was in Nocona.
