Five Criminal Cases Disposed of in Court
In a two day district court session five criminal cases were disposed of. M. T. Holly Jr. received a five year suspended sentence for burglary. Leslie Holly was sentenced to an indefinite term in the reform school until age 21, with parole to his father, for burglary. Charles Umphress got a five year suspended sentence for burglary. Elden Phipps pled guilty to failure to stop and render aid and drew 20 days in county jail with $10 fine and costs. C. H. Beckham was given a nine year suspended sentence for child desertion. In county court M. T. Holly pled guilty to burglary under $50 and was assessed 30 days in jail plus $50 fine and costs.
